Diabolik Lovers: More Blood - Azusa Dark Prologue Translation

Hey there! So, I finally did a translation of MB haha. Alright, so there might be some errors (and I'll be really pokey to update if I decide to keep doing this) but it's my first attempt at seriously translating and I tried my best. Feel free to share 'em, but do give appropriate credit, located at the bottom. (`・ω・´)

If you need the Mukami Prologue, you can find it on Akui's Tumblr: Mukami Prologue

HarmoKnight - Demo Review

Alright, time for another demo review.

HarmoKnight is a rhythm mostly side-scrolling platformer 3DS game (yeah yeah another rhythm game; deal with it) created by GameFreak, who hasn't created a non-Pokemon game since 2005 lol. In this game you play as a boy named Tempo (oh dear gawd, here come the music puns) who trains alongside with his trusty partner Tappy, both of whom live in the wonderful world of Melodia.

Goodness gracious, already I can't take this game seriously. This is so cheesy I can't... at least Mega Man's music puns weren't as cheesy. XD *ahem* Anyway

So the game kinda gives off this childish appearance, but it has catchy tunes and adorable gameplay. Playing this on 3D is pretty fun too.

Tappy comes up to you and says that he spoke to Master Woodwin and says that if Tempo keeps up the good work, he'll be a great warrior of Melodia. 8D

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Has a New PV :3

PERSONA~~ (*≧▽≦)

Alright, so there's a new PV for the upcoming Persona game for 3DS. For those of you that don't know, Persona Q is one of the 4 Persona games that Atlus is planning to release (1 on PS3 and the other 2 on PS Vita). Persona Q is a bit of a RPG dungeon crawler that has the returning cast of those from Persona 3 and 4 in chibified form. And for all the chibi haters, rest assured: Persona isn't about to turn into some fluffy game. It still has plenty of dark and gloomy moments. 。^‿^。

I am ridiculously psyched  for this Persona game. I mean, just... Persona is a really sexy series and you're really missing out if you haven't played it. XD

Once More, Companies Aren't Prepared for the Influx that Christmas Sales Bring, Yay! (*sob* No PokeBank)

You know, after all this time, you'd think companies would be able to figure out that Christmas sales mean a huge influx and that they should improve their connection to make sure servers don't crash, lol. But whatever. Here's to me waiting patiently.
Since the eShop is about the only thing I care about right now, that'll be my main focus, but there will be non-Nintendo things in here as well. No, it will not just be mindless Nintendo bashing. Yes, I will talk about the idiocy of many consumers.

So without further adieu, let's begin~ ;D

As many of you have probably already noticed, the Nintendo eShop is down worldwide due to generating a lot of traffic and overloading the servers. *sigh* Guess that means I'll just have to wait longer for PokeBank. Bah, when will the US get it already? .__.

On the other hand, I am glad that Nintendo is keeping us posted via their facebook page. It's better than disappearing off the face of the earth haha. I'll admit that Nintendo has their problems, but every company experiences things like this. Though, Nintendo should've been just a teensy bit more prepared. After all, this was a huge sale for Nintendo: You have game prices being cut left and right and you have people buying snazzy new consoles.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd - Review

Website:

GAH. You have NO IDEA how long I've wanted to play a flippin' Project Diva game. I've wanted to play one for a really long time. A reeeeeally long time. >___> I'm glad I picked this one up first because it has a lot of my favorite songs~

Some well-known included songs are Meltdown, Magnet, Cantarella, Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder, Change Me, Romeo and Cinderella, Kokoro, Just Be Friends, World Is Mine, Double Lariat, etc etc.

Alright. So. Project Diva is a rhythm game that uses music of various Vocaloid songs. I wouldn't necessarily call this game "addicting", but rather "addicting for Vocaloid fans." And it's ridiculously fun.

Diancie, Hoopa and Volcanion? (Plus Other Pokemon and Conspiracies)

To all the fans who have played Pokemon X and Y, a pretty noticeable difference was the serious lack of new region Pokemon: 69 to be exact. What happened to the rest; are we going to get more? Because more hidden Pokemon would certainly be nice. And just what on Earth is Nintendo trying to shove our way? So without further adieu, let's begin~

Now then. This was actually released a while ago on Serebii before it was taken down, but I completely forgot about it. But, now we have pictures to actually go along with those leaks. :3 Turns out someone was able to hack into X/Y (damn, I didn't realize someone could actually hack into a 3DS game after a two-month release) and read the codes to find what could possibly be Kalos' legendary trio.

KAJI YUKI IS EVERYWHERE (」゚ロ゚)」

a;dkjf;dklsfj It seems that lately, everything that I've seen/interested in/fangirling over has Kaji Yuki somehow someway. And it's usually characters I like as well. Is he stalking me, or am I stalking him? >__>

Here's everything I've seen him in lately:

  • Rath from Black Wolves Saga - Bloody Nightmare and Last Hope
  • Nell from Blood Lad
  • Wataru from Brother's Conflict
  • Kanato from Diabolik Lovers
  • Anubis from Kamigami no Asobi
  • Kakeru from Norn 9
  • Towa from Sweet Fuse: At Your Side
  • Will from Nessa no Rakuen   (holy crap his uke voice O_O)
Alright well there's way more, but I'm lazy, and you get the point. XD

Until next time~! (✌゚∀゚)☞

AeternoBlade – Demo Review

Alright. So I’m floating around the eShop and I see that there’s a new demo out, called AeternoBlade. I have absolutely no clue what it’s about (alright, it's about avenging your village, changing your destiny and things of the like), but it kinda looked RPG-ish, and I’m an RPG freak (though the eShop labels it as “action”). I’m a demo whore so every time there’s a new demo that sparks my interest, I download it. …I’d say I have about 3/4s of the eShop’s demos XD

Overview
So immediately you get into the world where you play a some chick. Clearly these is some dreary desolate, and the background music like you’re in some wilderness helps emphasis that. You get a bit of handholding with the tutorials, such as “Use the circle pad or d-pad to move.” You also have an orb system that accounts for UP, MP, HP and whatnot.

Kamiaso's Getting an Anime?! ∑(O_O;)

Well, yet another anime shall be joining the otome-based bandwagon. This time it's Kamigami no Asobi ~Ludere Deorum~ aka Kamiaso. If you care to read the article on it, you can clicky here

3DS Update: Miiverse & Nintendo Network ID (What on earth...?)

Alright. So I haven't updated my 3DS since about mm... October? (When Ace Attorney came out lol) So now that I've done the update, there are 2 new features that I've never heard of: Miiverse and Nintendo Network ID.
.
.
.
Well, I don't own a WiiU, so in my defense that's a perfectly good reason to not know about these.

So thankfully upon opening, Nintendo has given me the run-down of how Miiverse works for dumb minds like myself:
Miiverse is a gaming community that connects people from all over the world using Mii characters. Use Miiverse to share your gaming experiences and meet people from around the world. ... Miiverse is a user-driven gaming community where you can interact with people all over the world. For example, you can communicate by writing and drawing posts in the various game communities. If you are unable to connect to the Internet, you can launch Miiverse in offline mode to write posts and save them for later.

Sonic Lost World - Demo Review

Alright. Time to see what Sega has thrown my way this time.

So. SLW is about Eggman plotting to rule the world (as per usual....) by conjuring up the power of the Deadly Six (oh noes!). However, they turn on Eggman and now Sonic must team up with the enemy, Eggman, to take em down in Lost Hex (lol, whut). New abilities of Sonic include his rainbow color powers. On the side, I guess you're also rescuing these little critter thingies that Eggman stole.

Thrift Stores Are Your Best Friend (Picking Up FFVII + some Xbox Titles)

If you're a game collector, then you probably don't want to always have to trek over to GameStop, Wal-Mart, Best Buy or some other game retailing place to buy the games you want. ...Or in the case of buying retro games, they won't even carry the titles you're looking for haha.

So, behold: The power of flea markets and thrift stores! 8D Seriously, those places can give you fantabulous deals on games and consoles. Granted they'll be second-hand, but it's a great way to save some money. Just make sure to check the condition of it before you buy it (ex. disc games: scratches and cracks).

This happened to me a few months ago. I went to this place near my house called Catholic Charities (lol don't ask), which is a fairly new thrift store. I walked over to the CD section to see if there were any I wanted to pick up ($1 a disc? Hell yeah!) and I actually found.... Final Fantasy VII. O_O No, not some stupid remastered PC code, but the actual PS1 game in all of it's glory. It was complete with the game, manual, and all 3 discs in beautiful condition with hardly any scratches. And now the best part. Wanna know how much it was? 2 dollars. 2 FRICKIN BUCKS.

Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure Demo Review

Are you a fan of rhythm games? Love tapping out some tunes with your stylus? Than perhaps Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure is a game for you to try. With a free demo on the Nintendo eShop, what's to lose? So. Sega bring to you Raphael (this red-head you see here in the tux), a Parisian thief who goes by the name of "Phantom R" (Phantom Rhythm maybe?) who is notorious for stealing valuable works of art (through his groovy moves!) and returning them days later (lol whut). Follow his adventures to unlock the mysteries of his past and discover the truth~
A red-head that becomes a Phantom and steals famous art works to find the truth? This is so DN Angel guys! 8D *ahem* I mean, what? (late 90s/early 00s anime anyone?)
Alright. So the demo provides you with three different...shall I say... stages: R01, R02 and R04. Despite the small number, it's still pretty enjoyable. Unlike most music games, your grade is determined not by your overall performance, but by how full your "health bar" is at the end. I like to try and beat my high score every time haha. If you're a casual or beginner gamer who just wants something cute and fun to immerse yourself in, then this game's great. And if you so wish, you can hold little competitions with family members or friends, seeing who's the best hehe.

SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTING! 8D (BWS Wiki)

Hey there guys! Since a friend and I are so in love with the Black Wolves Saga series, we're making a wiki page on it! ^_^ It's rather new so we're still setting it up, however any feedback or help is certainly appreciated.~

If you want to see how the wiki's coming along,

Nameless ~ The One Thing You Must Recall - Demo II Review

If you haven't read Demo I, you can find it here
Alright, time for Demo II. I loved it and hated it at the same time. Loved it because it's so fluffy and adorable and just ;akdfjaldfjk yeah. I also hated it because it left me at a goddamn cliffhanger and I hate cliffhangers, especially since I won't be able to know what happens unless I buy the full version. ಠ_ಠ

So. Demo II is called "Cat Named John". (Lol it seems lately animals named John seemed to attract themselves to me. Nameless, Tiger & Bunny...)

Demo II starts off with you walking to school with Yeonho. As you mess around with your phone, Yeonho wishes that he had a cell phone as well, and you realize the Yuri, the cheap bastard, didn't buy everyone else phones like he promised. ಠ_ಠ Then Yeonho mentions he wants to video chat a;adfj;d;jafdj he's so adorable. ;w;

Then Yeonho stops walking and *gasp* says he hears a cat! But he thinks he's just hearing things, so he says never mind and grabs you and runs to the bus stop you're about to miss XD

Nameless ~ The One Thing You Must Recall - Demo I Review

Alright. So I'm floating around the internet and I see this thing about some "Nameless" otome game having a release date (and it's fairly new too; November 11, 2013). So y'know, I'm curious and I check out the website. And holy crap there's a lack of Kanji YES. Scratch that, you can actually change between English, Japanese, and Korean. (Korean, what? Yes, Korean) So apparently you're this chick who goes to some school and has too much free time while her parents are away and makes datable Dolls (What is this, Absolute Boyfriend?); mmhmm, okay. AND LOOK AT THIS. There's a demo! And 2 at that. How beautiful~

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies - DLC Case Trailer Impressions

You guessed it! As of November 21, 2013, the English version of Turnabout Reclaimed is now available for purchase! I haven't bought the DLC yet (*sobs* ;A; ) so all my thoughts will be from this new nifty trailer that was posted.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies Review and Thoughts Part I

That's right, folks! It's time for a review (and gushing) of the new Ace Attorney game, PW:AA Dual Destinies, also known as Ace Attorney 5 (Gyakuten Saiban 5) in Japan. After many many years of the previous installment, Capcom has finally come with a new Phoenix Wright game! I stalked the Nintendo eShop and as soon as this came out on Oct. 24 at 9:00am PST, I bought this little turd. 8D  Cracpcom has slightly redeemed itself in my eyes. Slightly. Not enough to cause a ripple of acceptance though. If only they'd release Gyakuten Kenji 2, then maybe I'd like them a tad more.

For those of you that don't know, Ace Attorney is a visual novel/adventure (try being an idiot like me who has the Kanji knowledge of an ant and attempting to read this or any visual novel in Japanese, guhhh turtore) where you play as a lawyer and get to collect evidence, cross-examine witnesses, etc. etc. as you try to find out the mysteries behind various murder cases. It may be a niche game but trust me, it's a really interesting series, especially with all the plot-twists in each case. At the beginning it seems pretty obvious that this

Welcome! (๑>ᴗ<๑)

Hello there, and welcome to "The Rambling Game Reviews of an Enthusiast ( ゚▽゚)/"! This is a blog of mine made for fun where I review games that I play - and not strictly limited to Otome or BL (though it may seem like it at times, heh).

To read more about this blog, please visit the About section~

I'll be adding more to this blog little by little as I get time to play and add sections here. As of right now I'm working on html-ing some banners...and failing horribly. So do pardon me if the only properly linking ones are  剣が君BEYOND THE FUTURE - FIX THE TIME ARROWS - , うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪Debut 一ノ瀬トキヤ(CV.宮野真守) , 神々の悪戯 and 「熱砂ノ楽園」応援中!. XD My problem is that I can't find the actual html on the website, so I just take the picture and slap it onto here. And as for missing banners, well, I'll just have to make banners of my own then. (Though if you have any banner/html tips, feel free to shove 'em my way.)

One important thing to note though; there will be spoilers. So beware! If I'm going to talk about various scenes and include my thoughts, no doubt plenty of information will be divulged.

Of course, this is all for my enjoyment. You may not agree with my opinions or what I post, but that's totally okay. I won't however tolerate bashing of sorts, so if this isn't to your cup of tea, the back button graciously awaits you. Civilized discussion is always warmly welcomed with wide arms though, even if we  may share differences of opinions. (*´ω`)o

(Edit: I figured out the banners, WHOO! So now everything should be working and linking to sites properly ^_^)
