Do I Pass? Review
So Trans Day of Visibility was yesterday, and I actually discovered this little game by trans indie creator Taylor McCue thanks to Gayming Mag covering it.
Summary:
"Do I Pass" is a visual novel where you play as a transgender woman who is worried about if she passes or not. With the help of a magical webpage she becomes a ghost and peeks into the minds of others to determine how they feel about her. There are three endings depending on the types of interactions she encounters from other people.
It's a short game but also very interesting, and I'm very glad I stumbled onto this game!

Quick and Dirty Reviews: (Some) Early 2000s PC BL Games [R18]
![]() |
| Cheesy graphic brought to you by yours truly |
By no means is this an extensive list; I did have a life back then and couldn't spend all my time gaming (kinda..). Since I'm probably never going to write full reviews for most of these games, I figured this would be a fun little thing to do. Disclaimer: It's been years since I've played so my details may be fuzzy, although some games made more of an impression on me than others.

Coffee Talk Demo Review [PS4]
Available for PC and console, Coffee Talk is a game where you manage your own midnight coffee shop, listening to the woes of those passing through as you give them a warm drink or two. Set in an alternate modern fantasy of Seattle, your cafe provides a respite from the world.
The demo focuses on Freya, a human fictional journalist who is going through a bit of a writer's block, and Lua & Baileys, a succubus and elf couple who are trying to gain approval from their families.

AX 2018 - JAST BLUE BL Localizations
Earlier this year, JAST BLUE (part of JAST USA) announced that they would be localizing Nitro+Chiral's Sweet Pool for Western audiences (a bold choice in my opinion lol). Recently at AX, they announced they would be bringing the rest of N+C's games over: DRAMAtical Murder, Togainu no Chi, and Lamento Beyond the Void.

2 Otome Games Getting Localized!
Okay, Amnesia: Memories (originally titled just Amnesia) I knew about coming West, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW CODE: REALIZE WAS COMING TOO. ━Σ(゚Д゚|||)━ Like, holy.
Amnesia: Memories
With as long as Amnesia's been going, it's interesting to see that it finally got ported to an English release. XD (Kinda like Hakuouki, how there was quite a bit of time) I guess now that the PSP's retired, it's about high time to start pumping out some Vita releases~
Amnesia: Memories was announced about last month and comes out August 2015, my birthday month ehehe. The only thing I'm a little bummed about is that it seems to be a download only. (゚´Д`゚)゚So I may have to go invest in a larger mem card.
Also considering it's Idea Factory International, I don't really have any worries about the English being a nightmare.
Code:Realize
Originally titled as Code:Realize ~創世の姫君~/ Code:Realize ~Sousei no Himegimi~, this game is getting localized as Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth. (Which I can deal with) This announcement's only about a week old, BUT STILL. That's actually..... a really fast localization announcement considering the game came out November 27, 2014. XD
The English release isn't that far away, coming Fall 2015. ouo (The preorder links saying November 24)
As mentioned on a twitter post, there won't be any sort of collector's edition //le cry// but there will be a physical release!! YAY!
Maybe they'll have a preorder bonus? (」゚ペ)」 But hey, I'm happy with a localization and a physical copy, since Code:Realize was on my list to someday buy anyway~
There's also a site currently live for the game. c:
I'm hoping that the cover art Aksys has right now is just a placeholder until they get a proper English cover. Because the one right now is so...... lame??
8I
Regardless! I'm probably more excited for this game rather than Amnesia considering it's a whole new franchise. |D
Apparently there's also an artbook coming out in Japan on May 16th:

Bakumatsu Rock Anime??
Wow I must've been living under a rock or something, because I had no idea this became an anime. Suddenly Bakumatsu Rock began flooding my Tumblr dash and I was pretty confused as to why. Plus yknow, animated graphics further added to my confusion. XDD
For those who don't know what Bakumatsu Rock is, it's basically about Shinsengumi men during the Bakumatsu period who want to use their rock 'n' roll music to save people from the brainwashing of the Shogunate LMAO.
As for the anime, it began airing yesterday (July 2) and will air 12 episodes, ending September 17.
But more importantly, HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS MAIN CAST???? AHHHHHH!!
Hijikata Toshizou → Morikawa Toshiyuki
Katsura Kogorou → Morikubo Showtaro
Okita Souji → Ono Kensho
Sakamato Ryouma → Taniyama Kishou
Takasugi Shinsaku → Suzuki Tatsuhisa
THREE SEIYUUS I'M FALLING FOR RIGHT THERE AHAHAHAHA.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies Review Part II (Final) + Bad Ends
Hi! Well, back when I started my blog (My first review & post if you don't count the "Welcome" actually XD), I did this massive part I review of Dual Destinies. Many months of laziness later, I decided to just condense it all into one with much less detail. XD Oh and because I'm cheap, this doesn't cover the DLC *sigh*

Tiger & Bunny: Hero's Day - Kotetsu T. Kaburagi Route Summary & Review
Alright. So Tiger & Bunny Hero's Day is a visual novel game made by D3 Publisher. In this game, there won't be any silly Hero fights or awkward camera angles like in the first game. Instead, you'll get to live the daily life of each of our TnB characters! ヾ(*´∇`)ノ
Now, when you first start the game your only 2 character options are Kotetsu and Barnaby. As you progress further, you'll eventually unlock more characters, but you won't be able to actually play them until you complete Barnaby's or Kotetsu's. Also, let's say you start with Barnaby. You can't plow through all of Barnaby's route without stopping midway through and backtrack to Kotetsu to let his story catch up.
Another cute little side feature is that you can select who'll speak and things haha. This game is also split into "times", which makes sense since you're following 1 day of a Hero.
Ahhh, this game is such a relief to my poor brain. Unlike otome games, everyone speaks, so now I don't have to stare at silent Heroine 500-stroke kanji going (;¬_¬) ... (╯°Д°)╯︵ ┻━━┻ wondering what the flippity-floo she's saying and squinting my eyes trying to read the tiny font in the first place.
(I'm still learning ~(ouo)~ )
**Important: You'll have to go back and choose the other option for a
lot of choices so that you can rack up points. Otherwise, you'll just
keep getting a bad end towards the end of the game no matter what you
choose. I ended Kotetsu's route with 78,110 points (of course there's many options I still missed, but I had enough to pass the game). But running straight
through without going back racks up only 32,015. Biiiig difference haha.**I haven't played this in a while, so I don't exactly remember everything. But regardless, let's begin!
