Alrighty, so there's this new game lable called and they're working on a PSP game called Yoiyomori no Hime (Yoiyomori's Princess). And I'll be honest, I'm liking it so far.
The story is based loosely off of Snow White. It takes place in the country of Stahl, whose throne was succeeded by this prince after the king fell a few years back. In comes in Ilsa, whose village was burned down and got lost inside Yoiyomori Forest, a place where those who have committed crimes are banished. It's said that those who enter this forest are cursed and never return again. She faints and when she awakes, she's inside a mansion and she discovers seven
And each of the men are all cursed by a different vice of the Seven Deadly Sins, awwww man (a total nut for the Seven Deadly Sins and demonology and things of the sort, says the catholic lol). Also with the whole dark-ish theme and military/political power, I'm getting some Black Wolves Saga vibes here.
As of now, there's 6 characters out, 4 of them Vices Characters as I'm now dubbing them.
First up is our heroine, Ilsa. Or our "Snow White" if you will.
I find her rather pretty ヾ(。・ω・。)
From left to right, we have our boys and what Sin they're cursed with: Klaus/Pride (CV: Maeno Tomoaki), Lambert Batini/Sloth (CV: Tomokazu Sugita), Harold Travis/Wrath (CV: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) and Lutz Bertheau/Greed (CV: Daisuke Kishio). Their ages range from 17 to 25.
Klaus has good looks and is arrogant. Lambert is lethargic but is actually easy to get along with and liked by animals. His thinking is also simplistic, such as "delicious food = meat" (aw hell yeah, lazy and food? We'd get along great~(°∀°)). Harold is impatient and impulsive, but he actually takes care of others quite well. Plus, he's concerned about his childish personality and wishes to grow up, d'aw. (Why are the young ones always Wrath? Yeah that's right FullMetal Alchemist, I'm looking at you). Lastly there's Lutz. (For a second I read Luze, which is a character of mine). AND LOOK. It's the seiyuu of my Azusa baby. ~ヾ(^∇^)
Lastly, we have the Prince of Stahl, Erefried (CV: Suzuki Chihiro). Ah, but don't let his charming looks deceive you. Underneath that exterior, he's actually cruel and ruthless, doing anything to reach his goal and justifying his actions for such goals. After all, it doesn't matter what you do in the process: The end justifies the means. (Ace Attorney anyone?)
Lust, Gluttony and Envy will be revealed in next month's issue of Dengeki Girl's Style, and YnH will be released Fall 2014.
If this sort of thing interests you, then you might be interested in a couple QuinRose games. Snow Black explores Snow White and looks a bit like Disney's rendition of the princess while Black Code delves into the Seven Deadly Sins. However I prefer this art and QuinRose hasn't really piqued my interest much lately so.... _(┐「ε:)_
Until next time~
