Diabolik Lovers Versus II -- Vol 1. Ayato vs Laito
CV: Midorikawa Hikaru (Midorin) and Hirakawa Daisuke (Hirarin)
Well Yui got wet in the tub and she's about to faint, so they carry her out and dry her with a towel (aww how sweet). The three of them go on a bed... and talk~ Basically they reminiscent when they were children with Kanato. Ayato mentions on how Laito would always sneak out of bed (ouch ouch ouch, he knows). They have touching moments, such as Ayato asking why Laito not asking for help and Laito wondering why he was the oneWhoredelia Cordelia chose, and things like that. Yui holds their hands to comfort and the two boys apologize for the scuffle earlier, blaming how eclipses always make them haywire. And so everyone falls asleep~
Well, it's the night of a lunar eclipse, which makes them super thirsty as their vampy hormones bounce off the walls. Yui and Ayato are hanging out on the rooftop watching said eclipse, and Ayato mentions that he's feeling a little off. That eclipse be telling you to suck your Chichinashi ouob He asks if you feel the same, since you're awakening as a vampire. *record scratch* Woah woah, did I miss something? ಠ_ಠ Then all of a sudden, nfu~, Laito prances in. Soon the two brothers are mocking each other, and Cordelia gets brought into the conversation, ouch ouch ouch. The eclipse is making them tenser than usual, and so they get ticked off easily and lunge at each other. Yui's all derpdidoo and decides to intervene between the two fighting brothers (Wow Yui, because that's such a good idea *facepalm*) and WHOOPS Ayato accidentally hits her and shoves her off the rooftop. ヾ( ＾∇＾) She's clinging onto the edge and both Ayato and Laito come up to offer their hands to her. She doesn't accept either hand- so no Yui bias so far. She slips and starts falling, so Ayato uses his vampire power to fly in and catch her from her impeding doom. She's dazed and he pulls her away. Meanwhile, Laito's still chilling at the rooftop, saying "Ayato-kuuuun? Bitch-chaaaan? Are you okaaaay~?" lol. (All of this takes quite some time: 2 tracks)
Ayato brings Yui into some room and decides to hide with her.... under a table. (Lol whut) This scene is long as well, but basically you get some nice clothe-ripping and sucking time with Ayato dummy head mic-san. (。･∀･)b Some sucks later, he even asks if Yui would like to suck his neck, to see if she's awakened yet, ho-hoh~ (●´艸`) Later he goes fluffy mode and kisses/sucks her and starts teasing her, but then she eventually starts crying and hightails it out of that room LOL.
As if he was watching, Laito just pops out of nowhere and talks about Ayato's so terrible that he made Bitch-chan run away. Basically they make a bet to determine their manliness, and so the hunt to find their tasty food is on.
I hear chains. ಠ_ಠ Laito's walking around trying to find Yui -saying that he's not a scary vampire and stuff like that lol- when he finds her in the torture dungeon. Just.. really Yui? Of course they'll look there. You Do-M you. (¬‿¬) So do you get escape? LOL NOPE. He locks her and himself in an iron maiden. 8D And so naturally with such a close proximity, he sucks on her blood in the pervy moan way that makes Laito...Laito haha. He even mentions how he got a little jealous - which is kinda unusual for Laito - and teases that his favorite places are where Ayato bit previously. Yui even licks his neck while they're in there. (Srsly, he's getting so horny off it, I swear) Iron maiden-chan decides it doesn't like two people inside, so it magically open and Yui doesn't hesitate to run away.
Ayato rendezvouses with Yui in the bathroom, asking what she's doing hiding in the tub. He pulls back the curtain and gets a little possessive as he realizes that Laito had his way with her. He rips her clothes, turns on the water for a bit - to wash her off a bit I think - and starts once more on his sucking. He teases a bit but then has a fluff sorta kinda confession. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. Laito decides it's high time for him to join the party. Ayato's a little resistant at first, but then him and Laito get into a rhythm of both sucking Yui at the same time. (I'm so done lol)

Final Thoughts
Hmmm... To be honest, I'm a little...disappointed? Don't get me wrong, it had some hilarious and feels moments at times, but overall I thought it was kinda meh. o3o There wasn't as much tension and it felt more like pass Yui around like a FedEx box than a "Versus" kinda feel. I think I was expecting more fighting for their affection over her lol. There were also some areas that dragged a little too long imo. Part of the reason could be that I'm a little tired of seeing Hirarin and Midorin: I swear to god I see them everywhere, and not just with Rejet. @_@ So I mean, that could be part of the reason I was uninterested. Laito/Ayato fans, please don't kill me. ;A; Ah well. There seemed to be a bit of Ayato bias as well. I have nothing against Ayato, but it seems like they always villanize his opponent/get in the way of his goal (Ex. Laito cockblocking) to make the AyatoxYui pairing more canon. Give the guys an equal chance, Rejet. ewe Though there are plenty of feels moments in here towards the end between the brothers, so I suppose that helps making up for it.
On a positive note, the dummy head mic served much justice. Not sure if it's because I've been listening to various CDs or because I haven't listened to any Diabolik Lovers CDs in a while, but the dummy head seemed much stronger. (Or maybe the mic got better, who knows) Especially during those sucking scenes, my my my~ Turn up the volume, and you'll have a grand ol' time. XD As for the music, there were some tracks I've never heard before. :3
So, this CD is a cute little thing to listen to for laughs and fun when you're bored or want some nice Do-S sucking scenes, but I wouldn't throw it up on the list of favorite Versus.

Deletenp i enjoy reading your summaries even though all they do is me want a translation even more. welp heoply my request will be answered in a year or 2 <3 and yep a ayato or laito fan most likely will in 2 mounts since i only under stand about 30 to 40 words and forgets them a lot till i see the translation and go o ya that right that what it means duh. lol tried learning failed big time and rage quite do to mantle stress and night mares not good for me health T_T but yep i did all the the hdb ones and now on more blood. ive been reading the mini sequel to the more blood drama cd but only gose up to vol 4 and stops at yuma..... and i want to read Kanatos relay bad since in all the drama cd i was thinking yui would die so i want to know if she still "living" . anyways i so look foreword to manic 3 ^^ ... are you going to do be dark fates part as well when you get the game ?
DeleteYeah, I'm sure some Ayato or Laito fans will step up to the plate soon enough haha. I mean all the More Blood Do-S CDs got translations out in a reasonable amount of time. And hey, don't feel bad. I had to relisten to a bunch of scenes to get everything that was going on, and doing translations has helped me quite a bit lol. Woah, you're really dedicated on those tokuten. And I'm very much looking forward to finishing Maniac 3 as well. (ᅌᴗᅌ* ) (I assume you saw the mini translation/audio on Akui's page? Hehehe) And even though I'm unsure of who to translate first, I would love to translate Dark Fate. (*≧▽≦) *sold my soul to Rejet* But first I need a summer job to buy myself a Vita. Uhhhhh well Yui’s clothes get ripped and they wipe her down with a towel since she got wet in the tub. I’d have to listen to the CD again to confirm if Yui’s naked or not but it’s definitely nothing bad. It’s more of feelsy moments between Ayato and Laito. But by the time I got to the end of the track and was writing up my review, it was the middle of the night and I was really tired, falling asleep on my keyboard LOL. And ah, yes, those lists of tokuten. I admit, I haven’t really listened to that many of the tokuten ehehe. And there’s always some I find floating on yahoo! auctions where I’m like “Oh, never heard of this one before. Too bad I can’t buy it.” Maybe if you have a DeviantArt, post a comment saying which links don’t work? I’ve seen on her other Drama CD journals where if you say which ones aren’t working, she’ll gladly replace the links. And ohhh those mini sequels; I know what you’re talking about now.
DeleteAnd why yes, I am doing the Ayato vs Azusa. :3 I started collecting the raw text so it’s easier for me to translate than zooming in on the scan all the time, but I got distracted because I remembered my next Azusa chapter was Maniac 03, and I wanted to translate that one really bad. XD So my next project is working on that, but my spring break is over and I have to go back to school now, meaning less translation time. *sobs* Yeah that whole anon thing was just… *smh* Ah but don’t worry, she’s working on a reply. ouo And omg, yes, the toad artist. Aha, you got a dialovers cup? Cuuuute! X3 I think I saw one before where it has all 10 chibi brothers on it, and I really want that one (idk, I just remember a Yuma chibi being on it lol). Mmm, I don’t think Akui (nor I for that matter) would buy the Vita version of HDB. I mean yeah there’s extra stuff, but Akui owns HDB already and neither of us have an extra $60+ to throw out to Rejet. XD Neither of us have jobs for crying out loud lol. .. Ah well I sorta do, it’s not really a “real” job though haha. Gahah otome, why you migrate to vita?? It doesn’t help that there are also a couple other vita titles I’m interested in. *laughs* Oooh, the Mukamis. I have such a bias for them. XD The bday stories sound promising. I actually have plans to look into some drama CDs involving Carla’s seiyuu (Morikawa Toshiyuki) and Shin’s seiyuu (Morikubo Shoutarou ), and I’m hoping I don’t get a seiyuu bias for either. XD

For starters, it’s hard for me getting into the teacher trope, and then even though the Black CDs are when they go super Do-S on you, I thought it was extremely boring. Uhh well Akui has more practice with Kou, and there are times when Subaru butchers his speech a little and sometimes it makes it difficult for me to understand him. I’d like to give it a shot, but if I can’t, I can always ask Akui if she’d be willing to.
Yeah, it’d be nice if Rejet printed more copies of stuff. It would make them more money, especially with new fans, but if it comes with a limited edition game or something then yknow, what can you say? XD If you’re able to use yahoo auctions or any other site that sells used drama cds, then you might be able to nab some yknow?
Ooh, Hakuouki. I really love that series. What’s nice about Stories of the Shinsengumi is that it includes the original game (if you haven’t played it on psp/3DS) and a TRANSLATED version of the fandisc, Zuisoroku! o3o If I had a ps3 I’d totally buy it for translated Zuisoroku and its Sweet School Life mini stories ehe. Are you getting the regular or limited edition? As for Amnesia V, there was some news a while back about Idea Factory trying to find a company that would translate their game. Translations are cool and all, but I would love for Aksys or someone to bring it West and spread more of that otome love haha. And another brightside of the Vita is the quality upgrade. ;D

If you’re able to screenshot it, then sure why not. Side projects are always fun. XD Tbh though, idk if Dialovers would ever get brought over to America. o3o Not trying to be pessimistic but… The reason that Hakuouki and Sweet Fuse got brought over really was their diverse plot. The set up for DL is different – you choose chapters instead of a playthrough, branching off into different routes depending on your choices. Plus, there’s the whole Do-S thing: You either love it or you don’t lol. However, the whole masochism/sadism thing might get a backlash and not do too well here. (*._.)
Mm, I remember reading that about Xseed. It’d be awesome for more otomes to come over, ‘cause visual novels (ex. Ace Attorney) are a bit of a niche genre, and otome even more so. I’ve never played Detective Mysteria either, so it’d be cool. XD
Poor PSP is slowly getting replaced with the Vita. Who knows, maybe more otomes will come onto PSP. o3o I haven’t played much on Jewelic Nightmare, but I like it, and I’d like to start Clock Zero in the summer of something. Same with the others. As for Kamiaso… I’d imagine Broccoli would try to send over some UtaPri stuff to the West first rather than Kamiaso since it’s an older and larger franchise. Milk more money out of UtaPri yknow? But Broccoli just has ridiculous amounts of bromance in their otome games, so idk how well received that will be here either. XD

I already preorder it since I couldn’t get the nameless drama cd … I hope they still have it when I get my next pay check and I anmi still has the towel I want and there some key chain left that I wanted if they don’t sell out by then. And I want the last 2 cups but ill be lucky if I can buy one more by then T_T ahh why don’t they get a big stock of stuff and why shiping have to make it so high to 25$ boo.

Sorry have to brake this in 2 … Mmm well idea might just self publish if it got a lot people like me hounding them XD I got a email saying they know about people wanting otome games and hope to bring more over so im sure they gotten a lot of post asking for dailovers and there polls on to and dailovers has one somebut alas im not. But if they don’t give me that game o well I just wag my little do-m tail at you guys for dailovers , that just laves the 200 other psp that our good out there so many games so little time and translators . ill pray that psp game can still come to the usa for a few more years and hope that the rumor of that psp game by xseed is Eikoku Tantei Mysteria And if the speculation is wrong ill be crying a mother load but its not ill buy that game in a heartbeat and hopes xseed will look in to bring games form other people as I read on facebook someone asking about them bring amnesia v over but they like we never worked with them before as they prefer other publisher. So im guessing ayska will be idea otome publisher or they self-publish the games to but you know men have all them hentie games and there BL games comeing to the usa and there game like the darkness and saints row. Things like renders can be found here on Tumblr, but there is a lot of yet accessible content, and that includes the game’s scripts. Even harder is to insert the English script into the game. As for cealhq, she did say DiaLovers in her priority. :3 Good luck on buying the things you want~ International shipping is so expensive though. ^^; As for LE Hakuouki, eh, true. XD I wanted to get the limited edition of Hakuouki 3DS when it came out, but I had no money at the time. ewe I mean, that thing had goodies like Kazuki Yone artwork (as opposed to her copycat artist), an artbook, a towel, and a fan, which are all things I use or drool over on a regular basis. ouo
DeleteEven if Idea does it via Idea Factory International, it’d still be cool for more otomes to get translated. :3 And there are so many otome games; it’s got to be tough figuring out which ones to translate. XD As for DL, idk if you’ve heard or not, but once translations are completely done, we’re gonna make an English patch for More Blood. 8D Or well at least try to, ‘cause neither of us have made patches before lol. As for xseed’s game, that’d be awesome if they really did bring it here. Even though I know nothing about the game, I’d probably buy it in a heartbeat just for the sole fact that it’s an otome in English lol. With Amnesia, I’d assume Idea Factory would do it since they’ve been marketing a bunch of Amnesia stuff. Or Aksys since both Hakuouki and Sweet Fuse is (I believe) Idea. I’d expect an UtaPri to come out before a Kamigami game, but who knows. Kamigami is getting a second game after all, so idk. I might not be able to take the game seriously though. Acttil LLC? Well hey, if they want to bring over some otomes, the more the merrier. 8D I’m getting high hopes for otome as well. I mean, 2012/2013 seemed to be the golden year of otomes. Prior to that, Amnesia and Hakuouki were really the only otome anime. Then BroCon and all those came along. As for games, Hakuouki got another release here, and Sweet Fuse came out. Though I feel bad for all the male gamers who bought Sweet Fuse not knowing what otome was. XD *ahem* Anyway. I’ve never played Clock Zero, but it seems to be popular in wanting translations. Lots of people have been asking Akui as well, but she doesn’t want to translate the whole game LOL. Oooh, there are scripts, how beautiful. That certainly makes things easier. ouo I usually just stream anime online, ‘cause I’m terrible like that. XD Hm well, I’m not a big fan of UtaPri, but that doesn’t mean they should totally give up. Look at Hakuouki: The first game (Shinsengumi Kitan/Demon of the Fleeting Blossom) came out in 2008 for PS2, got ported to PSP in 2009, then came here 2012. But eh, yeah, I guess between the two Kamiaso would be more likely. I’ve noticed that people who’ve played Kamiaso either love it or hate it lol. I have absolutely no clue what Hana Awase is, but I always see it in Dengeki Girl’s Style or B’s Log. :\ Well if there are scripts, then that helps, but I know nothing of ISO hacking ehe. I’ve heard Wand of Fortune is good, and a friend of mine is a fan of Heart no Kuni no Alice, but I’ve never played either.
