Blog Update: Discontinued Use of Follow by Email!?

It's the last day of July! And I'm here with a blog update.

A while back, Google announced that Feedburner, who manages Blogger's "Follow by Email" widget, would be discontinuing their email subscription service after July 2021. This means that starting tomorrow (or possibly even today depending on the timezone), anyone who is subscribed here via email will no longer receive notifications when I post something new.

I've been searching for a bit, but I hope to find another third party service that would let me do email subscriptions again. Apparently there is a way to export current email subscriptions but.. that is something I'll have to figure out at a later time. 😅

Until a find a solution, you can also find me on Twitter and Tumblr! Although I post and retweet/reblog lots of other content there too, I also include any Blog posts that I have made.

Alternatively, I have been considering the possibility of moving to Wordpress for a while now, but I hope it doesn't come to that since I am quite partial to Blogger. (Plus that means learning coding and formatting for a whole new site haha)

To all who have been here on my blog, whether you're a long-time follower or a recent discoverer, thank you so much for the support all these years. I hope you will continue to visit and support this blog. 🙏

Until next time!

BUSTAFELLOWS Collector's Edition [Eng] Unboxing

The English version of BUSTAFELLOWS is set to release on July 30th, but the Collector's Edition came home early I'm so happy!!!! 🥰

Since PQube collaborated with Funstock, the Collector's Edition shipped from the UK. I've never had something shipped from there so I'm very thankful Funstock didn't charge outrageous shipping, and it's an amusing experience to see French on the back of my game instead of Spanish haha.

But without further ado, here's the contents of this lovely Collector's Edition!

Favorite Game Meme: Otome Edition

I keep... forgetting to post about this. 🤡

So way back in January there was a meme that went around where you talk about things of your favorite games, among other things. A version was then tweaked to better fit otome games, and thus this creation came about~ Even though there's a lot I still haven't played or finished, this seemed really fun so naturally I had to participate!

To no one's surprise, a lot of this is about BWS and Dialovers or even Rejet in general LOL. But of course I am always here to talk about the things that have a dear place in my heart, so I'm sharing this here as well. 😊

If you would like to create your own version, you can find the original post here! What games will you pick?

Until next time~ 🌺

First Time at Book Off! Shopping Haul June 2021

Over the years I've heard stories of people finding cheap otome games and merch at this second hand store called Book Off, but I could only dream of visiting since there are no locations where I live.

However I was out of town recently and happened to be near a store... so naturally I couldn't resist!!

While this may seem like my first merch haul post for a while, I actually have a couple more hauls ahead of this. They're traveling by sea though so it'll take quite some time before they arrive lol...

Anyway. Onto the merch haul!

MARS RED: Edge of the Nightmare - Game Review

 Release: May 20, 2021

Platform: iOS / Android

Website:

Early twentieth century, Japan - the flowering era of Taisho influenced by Romanticism. As the nation prospered in modernization, some species were outcasted and stood at the crossroads of their lives.
They were - vampires.
Although they possessed superhuman physical abilities, they would burn under the sun and only lived off of blood. They suffered from having keen senses, and most of them could not adjust to their eternal life.
Thus - they were vulnerable species. This is a story about a young man named Yatsufusa, who became a vampire against his will and seeks the meaning of life as he encounters different people and species surrounding him.

(Summary from the Official Site)

MARS RED is a mystery/adventure F2P visual novel mobile game produced by the MARS RED Production Committee, D-techno, and Favary Inc., inspired by a play and anime of the same name by Bun-o Fujisawa

The game currently is 280k words long and is full of content written exclusively for this game. It had to be delayed a bit but that's okay because it's finally here!

I am not familiar with the original play or anime, so my only knowledge of MARS RED will be coming from this game. Yet even though I knew nothing about it other than vague details about it (like vampires hunting other vampires- what?), I'm glad I decided to play this game. 😚

Tune in below for a spoiler free review of MARS RED the game!

Do I Pass? Review

So Trans Day of Visibility was yesterday, and I actually discovered this little game by trans indie creator Taylor McCue thanks to Gayming Mag covering it.

Summary:

"Do I Pass" is a visual novel where you play as a transgender woman who is worried about if she passes or not. With the help of a magical webpage she becomes a ghost and peeks into the minds of others to determine how they feel about her. There are three endings depending on the types of interactions she encounters from other people.

It's a short game but also very interesting, and I'm very glad I stumbled onto this game!
