Shall We Date?: Love Tangle+ - Prologue & System Review

I started this back in June when Celina's route first came out... I'm just now finishing typing because of procrastination 😂

Apparently this game has been out for a couple years but I'm so behind on the otome scene that I just found out about it, and only because a new route was released recently lol.

In Love Tangle+, the heroine is an animal researcher (and daughter of a famous veterinarian) who is arriving to Kaleido City for a new job. While she's trying to find the person that's going to pick her up, she sees numerous celebrities on tv and in the airport around her. Eventually she's led to a VIP lounge. An old friend of her father is the one who picks her up, and together they take a helicopter to Lilac Court - which is like a fancy resort. She runs into other famous people while she's exploring, and the residents attending her welcome party are all the celebrities she's met or seen throughout the day!

Wow! She has a face!

Final Thoughts

Plot:
For a prologue that's supposed to grab your attention, I found it kinda boring actually. Yes you're a rising researcher, but you're not famous enough to just coincidentally meet and live with all these famous celebrities imo lol. It was also extremely short and was a constant stream of "Check out this guy! Now look at this guy! Wow, another guy spotted!" and it just becomes too much considering how large the cast is. If it wasn't for the new route, I probably would've dismissed this game as uninteresting and moved on to the next lmao.

Speaking of the heroine, it was refreshing to see one where her career choice wasn't on the usual feminine side.

Interface, etc.:

The interface is really cute! It's the first thing to draw my eye, and it's super easy to navigate.

Like other free mobile otoges, this game uses a ticket system that replenishes your tickets every 4 hours, up to a max of 5. Part of me wishes it was like other games where all your tickets restore at a certain time, rather than at intervals. Especially since I only play mobages when I have some extra time at the moment, I'd rather binge all 5 tickets at once than having to constantly check. On the other hand, it's nice if I have more time because then I can get more than 5 reads per day.

Gems are the premium currency of this game. However, Solmare has a system across multiple games where you can exchange points for gems. For Love Tangle, it's known as LT Points. By completing tasks - downloading apps being probably the easiest and safest way to go - you obtain x amounts of points. The conversion rate is 10 points for 1 gem. If you want the special cgs on routes, you'll probably still have to purchase gems (or just be really dedicated at offers). Micro-transactions suck, but every now and then they have sales.

In October, a new Exchange feature was added as well.

Cooking food in the Pop'n Style Cafe gives you talent-n-skill points, which are used to complete checkpoints throughout the story. After you cook a character's dish completely to 3 stars, you're rewarded with a special short story, resulting in a total possibility of 5 Pop'n stories per character. These stories are free to read and are always saved in your album.

After previously playing mainly Voltage otoges and then taking a break for a while, I'm surprised at how crisp the sprites look! The only other times the quality gets fuzzy is when it shows the waist up sprites, but otherwise they're pretty great.

I'm a little sad the sprites can't blink during the gameplay, but at least they can blink on the homepage. Especially with this being a mobile otome, I suppose I can't be too picky lol.

Until next time!

Bonus: The new girl
uMM Gorgeous???
